Z-Score: z = (x - μ) / σ    SE of Mean: SE = s / √n
Confidence Interval: x̄ ± z*(s/√n)    [95% CI: z*=1.96, 99% CI: z*=2.576]
P(A or B): P(A) + P(B) - P(A and B)    P(A and B) independent: P(A)×P(B)
Regression Line: ŷ = b₀ + b₁x where b₁ = r(sy/sx)

Hypothesis Testing Steps

  1. State H₀ and H₁: Null (no effect) and Alternative hypotheses
  2. Set significance level: α = 0.05 (most common)
  3. Choose test: Z-test, t-test, chi-square, etc.
  4. Calculate test statistic: z = (x̄ - μ₀) / (σ/√n)
  5. Find p-value: from Z-table or t-table
  6. Decision: If p < α, reject H₀. If p ≥ α, fail to reject H₀.
